Dementia Awareness

This course is for carers working with people with dementia and want to improve their practice. The course is suitable for carers working in domiciliary care, nursing home or for people who want to understand better what their loved ones go through.

The course covers different types of dementia and it is meant to help the learners understand how to meet better the needs of people with dementia and how to support them have better relationships. . The course explains the reasons of the change in behaviour of people with dementia and it helps the learner understand what the people with dementia feel.

Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults

This course is designed for people working with vulnerable. It is suitable for carers working in domiciliary care, nursing homes, mental health settings or looking after a vulnerable adult who is a member of the staff.

The course covers the meaning of the term ‘vulnerable adult, different forms of abuse that might take place and how to recognise them. The learners will understand their roles and responsibilities towards vulnerable adults, the legislation concerning safeguarding vulnerable adults.

Infection Control

This course is designed for those who have a responsibility in infection prevention and control in their roles such us working in care home or in nurseries.
